Product Manager
What will I be doing?
As a Product Manager at ProQuest, you'll contribute to multiple functional areas to drive quality products from concept to market. You'll seek out and understand User Stories to help manage a backlog, new feature development and provide input on marketing and sales efforts. 
In this position, you will also…
• With guidance and support, document clear and measurable product requirements and make trade-off recommendations between implementation and functionality.
• With guidance and support, manage the development and launch of new features and functionality through the entire product development lifecycle process from concept through implementation and release. (For full product, or significant product features) 
• Participate in leading focus groups, customer surveys, and user testing to inform product priorities. Monitor key product analytics to inform development priorities.
• Under direction, understand market priorities and work with Engineering to identify trade-offs. Drive activities/user stories to deliver product to market, according to product roadmap. Prioritize and sequences product features and stories to meet market demands.  
• Monitor and make recommendations for improvement of product performance including pricing, bundling, and marketing strategy. Provide feedback as necessary into feature/function developed.
• Author market requirements/agile epics.

Qualified Candidates must have…
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in related field, plus 1-2 years relevant work experience or equivalent combination of education and experience. 
• Ability to utilize data to drive decisions and establish relevant metrics.
• Ability to identify and articulate product requirements, and leverage subject matter expertise across teams to deliver timely results. 
• Basic understanding of ROI.
• Professional and competent presence.
• Able to collaborate across teams to manage product development. 
• Outstanding communication and active listening skills.
Superstar Candidates will ALSO have…
• Ability to translate business requirements into technology features.  
• Demonstrated ability to understand technical concepts and create detailed specifications that result in successful technology development.
• Experience with Agile/scrum product development methods, including creating user stories, managing backlogs, and project tracking skills.
• Prior experience managing a web based content rich application
• Prior background with ebooks or in the publishing industries.

  • This position may be based out of a ProQuest office location and may be appropriate for full or partial remote work, subject to approval.
  • Occasional travel is required.
