What will I be doing?

As a Collection and Workflow Consultant, you will wear many hats in supporting both print and EBooks customers. You will help to build and maintain the profile for each client. This team endeavors to make librarian’s lives better by identifying needs, supporting and understanding workflows and helping to manage the programs within libraries. In short you are the key Liaison for the Librarians.

In this position, you will also...

• Work closely with customers to create and maintain content profiles for EBooks and/or print books, resulting in outputs supporting DDA programs, Approval Plans, Slip Notification programs, and retrospective projects in order to maximize sales, library efficiencies, and customer retention.

• Identify, manage, expedite, and resolve problems regarding account setups, technical services, profiles, content, and other areas, in collaboration with internal stakeholders who are primarily responsible for these areas, and with partner vendors as needed.

• Act as an expert in supporting book acquisition and maintain expertise in the customer workflows for those systems.

• Develop strong working relationships with stakeholders responsible for configuring ProQuest systems.

• Collaborate with Sales and other teams in the identification and pursuit of new business opportunities.

• Participates in the prioritization, planning, definition, and testing of improvements to our internal and customer-facing systems and especially in the creation of a single ProQuest system supporting EBook and print acquisitions.

Qualified Candidates must have…

• Bachelor's degree or higher in related field and a minimum of 6 years' related experience OR equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Professional experience in complex library acquisition environments or customer service, or in a sales role focused on library acquisitions.

• Strong skills in: presentation, documentation, research and problem solving, organization, and prioritization.                                             

• Strong interpersonal skills with an ability to professionally interact with diverse personalities to build and maintain strong relationships.              

 • Master's degree in Library Science will be added advantage

• Experience in consultative selling and strategic account management.                 

Other Important Information About this Position:

• This position is a remote opportunity that can be based out of any location within the United States.

• Travel of up to 25% is required.

• This position requires weekday attendance with some flexibility around core hours.
