Credit and Collections Specialist
What will I be doing?

Working as part of a team, you’ll be supporting clients who are carrying a balance on their ProQuest invoices. This is not a “dial for dollars” role, in fact, most of your communication will be via email. We are asking you to provide a high level of customer service, problem solve, work cross-functionally and find equitable solutions for our customers. You will also be helping to correct invoices, answer customer inquiries and to generate a positive, customer-centric experience.

In this position, you will also..

• Handle daily collection activity through customer contact
• Review monthly statements for all customers in territory
• Maintain collection notes in Oracle
• Initiate credit stops for customers when appropriate
• Analyze open AR for collections risk for quarterly bad debt reserve calculation; handles categorization and recommendation of reserve amount.
• Maintain close contact with sales to better understand customer landscape
• Investigate and facilitate resolution for incoming customer inquiries through direct service or referral to correct department.
• Assist with back-office integrations for acquisitions.

Qualified Candidates must have…
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Strong technology skills, with strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
• Experience using Oracle or similar ERP system.
• Strong time management and prioritization skills.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to deal professionally and timely with a variety of customer issues.

Superstar Candidates will ALSO have
• Experience in accounting-related role.
• Working knowledge of systems used at ProQuest (i.e.: Oracle).
