Director, Sales Development
 
What will I be doing?

Armed with extensive knowledge about building teams, lead generation programs, and talent development skills, you will be tasked with standing up a new Leads Generation team. You will hire your hand-picked sales prospecting team to generate leads and drive home the value proposition of the ProQuest line of products. Your daily routine will involve developing strategies for 8 week product, specific campaigns. 
 
In this position, you will also..

• Develop, own and scale the lead generation (inbound and outreach programs) function
• Define and execute the lead generation strategy to achieve Sales and pipeline goals
• Drive all lead generation efforts, including developing forecasts, executing, and measuring results  
• Collaborate closely with peer Sales and Marketing leaders to identify trends/campaigns that the team could deliver to maximize opportunities within the market
• Partner with Marketing and Sales leaders to create compelling content for outreach lead generation programs
• Lead ongoing efforts to measure, analyze, test and optimize lead generation efforts
• Hire, motivate, manage and develop a team of lead generation professionals
• Coach the team to effectively work across a matrixed sales organization
• Maintain a thorough understanding of ProQuest’s strategies, goals, structure, and operating methodologies

Qualified Candidates must have…
• Bachelor’s degree plus at least 7 years’ related sales leadership experience in a comparable industry and/or a comparable customer base, or equivalent combination of education and experience
• Ability to develop a deep understanding of ProQuest’s strategy, product line and client base
• Strong leadership and managerial skills, with proven ability to hire, motivate, educate, develop, hold accountable, and retain top talent.
• Strong forecasting, budgeting, financial analysis, and planning skill set with ability to analyze compare, evaluate, reconcile and draw meaningful conclusions and action plans from data
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to professionally interact with a diverse blend of personalities to reach resolution and maintain strong relationships
• Excellent organizational skills, with ability to mobilize resources across a matrixed organization to reach shared goals
