Job Description

The Inside Sales Manager coordinates with Account Managers and Sales Specialists on sales campaigns to drive additional revenue across ProQuest product.lines and takes ownership for nominated accounts to meet agreed sales targets.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for driving inbound and outbound calls, emails, and proposals to focus on maintaining and expanding business relationships as well as gaining market share with existing and new customers.

  • Clearly and compellingly articulate the ProQuest value proposition through update sessions, phone calls, webinars, and other customer communication channels.

  • Collaborate with Account Managers & Sales Specialists to:
    • Identify and pursue new business opportunities with existing clients.
    • Support overall sales strategy and account support.
    • Work on specific sales campaigns.
    • Close sales and achieve agreed targets.
  • Enter leads, opportunities and customer activity into SalesForce.com.
  • Conduct needs-based selling by using non-scripted probing techniques to determine customer needs and to offer the most appropriate product or service to address those needs.
  • Meet or exceed individual and team goals.
  • Maintain high knowledge of products, pricing, promotions, and procedures.
  • Engagement with end users (academics, researchers) to support demand generation of ProQuest primary source collections, support usage growth during trials.

  • In collaboration with Marketing department, provide support for successful engagement with ProQuest On-Campus events.

Qualifications:

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Post-18 qualification (degree, apprenticeship) plus minimum of 3 years’ related experience in inside sales or sales support, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Understanding of consultative selling and strategic account management.
  • Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to professionally interact with a diverse blend of personalities to reach resolution and maintain strong relationships.
  • Proficient with corporate productivity and web presentation tools.
  • Strong multi-tasking, organisational and prioritisation skills, with ability to maintain professional demeanor under pressure.
  • Experience working with Salesforce.com or similar CRM.
  • Proven inside sales experience.
  • Proven industry experience.
  • Fluent in English and other European language/s would be an advantage.
