IT Support Specialist

Our IT Support Specialist provides technical support to our most valuable asset, our employees. You will assist with all hardware and software IT systems and business applications including mobile devices, laptops, desktops, servers, Microsoft360, and more. Your ability to troubleshoot technical problems will help keep the business functioning and successful. Our Des Plaines office provides a tight-knit, team environment that is both rewarding and fast-paced. You will learn to support not only onsite colleagues, but sites around the globe. 

Additional Reponsibilities Include...

  • Deliver IT/MIS services and support to local and global company office users and systems
  • Maintain and support company information systems, and business applications at Helpdesk Level III
  • Plan for and undertake scheduled systems maintenance upgrades
  • Investigate, diagnose and solve complex issues related to:
    • Computer and server software (imaging, system configuration, software management)
    • Computer and server hardware (upgrades, replace and repair)
    • Operating systems (Windows, Windows Servers, Linux/Unix)
    • Network infrastructures (VPN, LAN, WAN, Proxy)
    • Company information systems and business applications
    • Advanced Active Directory and Microsoft Exchange user management
  • Manage and support corporate Microsoft Office 365 and Azure cloud services.
  • Manage and support corporate VMware virtualization infrastructure and services.
  • Manage and maintain servers and network infrastructure in the IT data centers.
  • Lead IT/MIS Helpdesk projects to implement new technologies/systems that improve company internal/external productivity.

Qualified candidates MUST have...

  • Associate’s degree in Computer Science or related field plus 4 years’ related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certification in MCSA/MSCE/MCITP.
  • Professional experience installing IT hardware and software.
  • Advanced knowledge of PowerShell.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft SCCM (imaging, deployment and software management).
  • Working knowledge of business applications and information systems.
  • Working knowledge of IT operating systems, specifically Windows.
  • Working knowledge of servers hardware and operating systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot hardware, software or network related problems.
  • Ability to work in a team environment for positive outcomes, generating trust.
  • Ability to occasionally be on-call during off hours and weekends.

Superstar candidates will ALSO have...

  • Experience with Linux and Unix.
  • Experience with Jira, Salesforce and SharePoint.
  • Experience managing and supporting corporate Microsoft Office 365 and/or Azure cloud services

Other important information about this position:

  • This position is based in our Des Plaines, IL office location and is not subject to remote work.
  • Occasional travel may be required including international travel to Israel.
  • This position requires weekday (Monday - Friday) attendance with some scheduling flexibility available around core working hours.
