Product Manager, Asst

What will I be doing?

As an Assistant Product Manager, you will be responsible for activities related to research in editorial/product development as well as support in product management tasks for a team covering an assortment of disciplines in the Arts, Humanities and Social Sciences.

 In this position, you will also…

  • Interact with the editorial/ product management team in the execution of product lines, with customers
  • Work closely with sales team to assist in marketing and sales management initiatives
  • Identify useful graphics and media, coordinate licensing, and work with professors to solidify research topics.
  • Assist in tracking and reporting of key company milestones and metrics, with a focus on improving processes.
  • Maintain open communication and updates among product managers & other key stakeholders within the company.
  • Perform other administrative job duties as assigned.

Qualified Candidates must have…

  • Bachelor’s degree in the humanities or social sciences
  • Solid understanding of the typical research needs of undergraduate and graduate students.
  • Strong research skills in a variety of academic disciplines.
  • Experience with online research tools and electronic library resources.
  • Ability to use effective communication and active listening skills to identify and articulate requirements.
  • Ability to work independently and identify competing priorities.
  • Solid proficiency in Excel.
  • Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills

 Superstar Candidates will ALSO have…

  • M.A. in the Humanities or Social Sciences a plus
  • Proficiency in MS Office 365

Other important information about this position:

  • This position will be based in Alexandria, VA or NY ProQuest office location.
  • Up to 10% travel is required
  • This position requires weekday (Monday – Friday) attendance.
