Job Description

The Regional Manager, Sales Books Specialists drives sales activity for assigned product lines, delivering specialty product value proposition in collaboration with Account Managers and providing subject-matter expertise.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Leads and manages a team of product Sales professionals who serve as the subject matter experts of leading software in the library research, discovery & management market.

  • Manages a team of Sales professionals covering APAC selling the Research portfolio in across APAC, as well the full Workflow Solutions portfolio in APAC.

  • Responsible for developing and executing the sales strategy to drive new business and renewals with an emphasis on product bundling, key sales initiatives, territory and account planning as well as negotiation to support the team.

  • Responsible for weekly forecasting and reporting against identified key sales initiatives.

  • Engages in day-to-day management of the Sales team including training & development of staff involving sales methodology, sales skills, and product and industry knowledge.

  • Interfaces with business unit leadership (i.e.: product management, pricing, marketing, pre and post sales implementation teams, finance).

  • Regularly attends conferences, exhibitions, seminars and customer appointments to support sales and meet the needs of the market.

Ideal Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher plus at least 5 years’ Sales management and leadership experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience with SaaS software sales or similar technology.

  • Experience leading sales teams and initiatives.

  • Proven track record of success leading sales teams in a dynamic, competitive markets

  • High level of enthusiasm, with strong influencing and negotiation skills

  • Strong collaborating skills with the ability to work well in a highly matrixed environment

  • Ability to analyze, compare, evaluate, reconcile and draw meaningful conclusions and action plans from data to develop sales strategy.

  • Strong interpersonal skills, with ability to professionally interact with a diverse blend of personalities to reach resolution and maintain strong relationships.

  • Strong working knowledge of SalesForce.com and other programs relevant to the role.

Ancillary Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Library Science or related field.

  • This position may be based in a corporate office or remote location. 

  • Frequent travel is required across APAC..

  • This position requires weekday (Monday - Friday) attendance with scheduling flexibility to meet the needs of the business and clients.
