What will I be doing?

As a Training and Consulting Partner, you will help drive usage and adoption of ProQuest’s content products and services by delivering a variety of innovative training and consulting activities. In this exciting opportunity, you will have the unique experience to work independently and collaboratively with our global training team. 

 

In this position, you will also…

• Conduct customer-needs analyses and create customized account plans for maximizing usage of services; including uncovering direct sales opportunities.

• Provide pre- and post-sales training either in person or online.

• Create educational materials in various formats ranging from quick-start guides to video tutorials and public webinars.

• Maintain a high degree of knowledge about ProQuest products, with expertise in assigned product lines.

• Follow-up with post-training customer concerns, technical support or questions.

• Analyze and diagnose best case uses for customers to maximize ProQuest experience.

 

Qualified Candidates must have…

• Bachelor’s degree as well as MLS or MLIS from an American Library Association (or non-US equivalent) accredited school, or at least three years’ experience providing online training and customer support in a similar information services organization that sells to the library market, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

• Familiarity and proficiency with library search systems.

• Knowledge and understanding of library systems and functions, including new technologies and their applications to enhancing information services in the library market.

• Strong planning, organization, and prioritization skills, with ability to effectively multitask.

• Learning agility and flexibility, with ability to operate independently and as part of a collaborative team in a matrixed, changing environment.

• Strong analytical skills.

• Excellent, professional interpersonal, communication - spoken, written, listening - and presentation skills.

• Excellent understanding of the English language, oral and written. 

• Proven skills with MS Office Suite of products and overall technical aptitude.

 

It would be awesome if you also had…

• Bilingual ability in the English language and one of the following (Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Italian, Polish, Turkish, Arabic, Chinese, Japanese, Korean).

• Experience with library OPACs and other bibliographic records systems.

• Experience teaching or training others, especially in a technical context.

• Experience using academic search engines.

• Experience writing support documentation.

• Experience in pharmaceutical industry.

• Experience with patent research.

• This position is conducive to remote work. 

• Up to 50% travel is required.
